1-800-94-Jenny

Ok friends and family, I did it I joined Jenny Craig. I wasn't going to share this but what the heck i'm an open book. I was doing weight watchers with my mom, but please I can't do math and count points. HELLO! a) i'm lazy b) i suck at counting and c) i don't cook. This will be good for me, because everything is laid out for me, I follow a schedule/menu and this will definitely work with my busy busy schedule. This is more a kick in tush because I will not be doing this forever but for right now it's perfect for me. They even have breakfast pre-made for me. I love this! The only thing I have to do is get my salad, fruits, and veggies which I can easily do. (em, i can see you rolling your eyes at me!)

Now that I've shared that, let's discuss my latest life decision: moving back home with Mom & Dad. I love living alone, but do not like my apartment. There is no parking after 9 except for far away in a dimly lit area. yeah so not safe. Not to mention my neighbors need to be on Jerry Springer, my personal favorite fight i've heard was a few weeks ago, when the guy told the girl that he was f*ing crazy because he was with her. (they're still together! what?) if a guy told me that there would be future for us. yes i have complained about this, but let's see the excuses i've gotten, it's apartment living (our walls are paper thin and i hear EVERYTHING, even the dude singing at 7 am he's bad too), well it's not during "quiet time" (ok i'm sorry but if i can hear you fighting at 4 on a sunday, and or your slam your door so hard my walls shake) you need to fix that, those are my favorite lines management gives me. Then there's the whole school thing, which is the major reason i am moving back home. I need to be supported while i'm student teaching, in summer school, and all that jazz. So if anyone needs a sofa or armoire lemme know! :)

Speaking of school, I LOVE it! yes, i ms. i hate school and couldn't wait to graduate love it! my classes are interesting, the people i'm meeting are interesting, and well i'm getting a's! who knew?

work is going fine, i'm on office adminstrator number 4! this one is a man, who seems nice but he's only been here like a week, so ask me again in three weeks. i didn't do anything, it's the crazy people i work with. i just answer the phones, okay maybe i do more but lately all i've done is answer the phone. welcome to tax season or as we call it in the biz "busy season"

i have some exciting trips coming up so i'll share, atlanta this weekend to show it to anna in case she leaves me and moves there (anna is post office chick), and of course seeing samantha! the weekend after that i'm going to kansas city for a gamma phi recruitment convention. who am i? first liking school, now being a special recruitment counselor for gamma phi? ha ha! i'm insane!!
then back to atlanta for heather's engagement party, (i'm a bridesmaid! wedding number 5 people.) that's it for february and march. in april though i'm going to oklahoma for nat's bach. party weekend and passover. really for nat's thing but passover falls in the middle of it, so i'm ditching the partying for a few hours to pray for my partying ways! what liquor can you drink on passover? can you drink? (notice i care about passover and not jenny) now that i've asked the important questions i must do some work on this rainy day!

alright peace!

this stuff only happens to me

hello party people! i'm ready for this new chapter to begin in my life because well i haven't quite figured out how to get everything accomplished that i want to get accomplished and manage to be positive. it doesn't help that everyone and their mom has an opinion on what I should do. This past weekend i was in atlanta and had a blast. i went down friday night for samantha's birthday and even with minor drama managed to show the ATL some of my party loving ways. even ended the night with everyones' southern late night spot the waffle house, where sam ordered home fries which is northern for some good ole scattered hashbrowns. round two was herchelle's birthday throwdown and it involved tapas and my personal fav dancing. We went to the upstairs part of the bar we had gone to the night before to listen to an 80's/90's cover band and it was FANTASTIC! I danced on stage! (i was sober doing that too ha ha!) i then proceeded to pull a jen before meeting lizzie (friend since 5th grade) for lunch and some quality hanging out time as she's in town from la and newly engaged to a very nice guy. anywho i digress, short version i locked my car key in sam's car and when i realized this she was on a plane for la! i had to call geico and get a locksmith to let me in her car, to get my key. which is sooo a talent everyone should know. yes friends and family the time in atlanta with my friends it was well worth the $60 i had to shell out for my stupidity! tomorrow i am going to get my books for school and am kind of excited. who knew i'd be excited for getting school books? who am i? yes i know i'mfriday that i don't like nice people, and after much research (which involved me asking people) i do like nice people, but only if you've been my friend for a while otherwise i think they're annoying. i'm horrible! i think it's because i have finally decided that i don't really want to change myself for anyone because well it doesn't really work. there has been much upheaval for me this year, and some good and some not so tov (hebrew word of the day meaning good note to self) which is why 2008 is a new year new me! sorry i've been ranting/whining but a) i'm a FANTASTIC whiner, and b) this is what the blog is for so if you don't like it stop reading!

peace...

this post is belated but from Jan. 6 2008.

enjoy!

New Years New Me!!

Hello party people! It's been forever and a day since I've blogged and Nat reminds me of this all the time! Notice how I only start to blog again Nat while you're gone? :) So since it's 2008 and I'm about to embark on loads of changes I figure this is the best way to let everyone know what i'm up to. school starts nexts week and i'm nervous/excited! i'm ready to start this quest to become a teacher, and think that this time school will be okay for me. i hate school but this is school for something i want so hopefully i'll kick some grad. school butt. i am also giving everyone plenty of time to get their plane tickets as i will be walking across that stage! ha ha. may 2009 get ready! other changes are fat kid jen is going to start working out. i've gotten a little too chubby for my liking, and while i will never been skinny like adam i would like to be less chubby. i'm sharing this because of according to some of my research (yes i'm a nerd move on) you need to share this information so that you are more likely to keep up with this. so basically i'm sharing this with the hopes that the gym won't scare me off, and my love of being lazy won't win this time. no promises but i'm willing to try. work is work and i still dislike it but the busy season is among us so i am hoping the days will fly by. right now we've had not so busy season and some of the days have been flying by, so i'm ready for them to really fly by. well i must be off now but happy new years!!

weekend fun

so i actually did it, i unpacked boxes and went out and was social all in one weekend. who knew i could multi-task like that? ha ha! i finally got book shelves and unpacking my books, which for those of you know me those go right up there with the shoes (which haven't been brought over from mom and dad's yet!) i also brought over most of my clothes, which wasn't as difficult as i thought seeing as how we moved them in suitcases. when i say we, i mean manuel who was fantastic and very very helpful. i helped a little, like packing the clothes and unpacking them. i carried a few things up the stairs, but well i'm delicate so manuel carried the heavy stuff plus i live on the third floor!

i went out with some friends on saturday night, yes i did say friends. let me tell you about the group that went out saturday night, my friend anna who i met at the post office. it is a very random, funny story. she moved to greenville from oklahoma, and on her first day here was at the post office, and was talking to some cute little old lady telling her she'd just moved here blah blah blah, and i heard from oklahoma so me being me i interjected. turns out she's best friends with one of my sorority sisters (one of the ones i actually liked) and now we're friends. ha ha! my friend heidi joined us and she's my new friend too. plus marc got to the token boy which i'm sure he enjoyed! ha ha! we went to this bar that actually showed the oklahoma / a&m game. anna went to tulsa, but like any good oklahoman supports the sooners too. heidi went to missouri and just came because she wanted to hang out with us! it was a lot of fun, and after dinner marc and i went downtown. downtown was fine, it was kind of dead, and i wasn't really planning on leaving the sports bar so i was wearing my ou t-shirt and jeans which really didn't bother me. lucky for everyone else i wasn't wearing a baseball hat! ha ha! i love living in greenville because i can get free rides home from the bar, i got dropped at the club and big chris graciously drove me home. there was a little bit of teasing that i needed a ride home, but i don't drink and drive so it didn't bother me.

i of course then spent sunday being lazy until manuel came back to finish building shelf number two. then went to mom and dad's for free dinner, and home again to finish unpacking some boxes. my apartment is really starting to look nice, and almost ready for guests. i will keep yall posted as to when i can have guests. it's not right now. i am going to atlanta this weekend to staff a bbyo convention! didn't we make fun of those people? when did i become one? that is all for now, as i should probably get back to work!

rules of the blog

Greetings!
i have revamped the new blog, and changed some things around. it's still a lot of me ranting, and well more ranting but there will be some fun new things too. im adding pictures (not today but eventually) this way when things start to get crazy in this hectic life of mine you will always know what i'm up to! before you begin the journey through my blog though you must understand the rules. (no it's not like radio control where i make up the rules)

Rules of the Blog:
1. you can't post mean comments!
2. you can't hound me for updates to the blog (hint hint nat)
3. rules are subject to change via whenever i feel like it!
4. you can't take anything i say personally.
5. i hate capitalization so deal

those are the rules for now, as you know i change my mind a lot so if i feel like changing the rules i will.

i have a lot to update yall on so this post might be longer than the rest. ihave been very busy these past few weeks so i will update yall on what I have been doing. work has been crazy busy, a few weeks ago we had a mini-tax return deadline for extensions. it was crazinesss and I am not quite sure iwill survive tax season! i think things will be better organized in my life then, so i'll be okay but still. i will survive tax season because i get overtime! ha ha. things at work are still ho hum, i am not a huge fan of my boss, which makes me feel bad because she gave me a sweet moving into my apartment gift (pedicure gift certif.) but she just doesn't motivate me and the biggest kicker i have no respect for the woman. which is really hard because that's a HUGE thing for me. enough about work let's talk about something exciting, (no not shoes) my travels.

these past few weeks i have done so much traveling it's crazy. we went to sugar mountain in north carolina, beautiful... i just got back from chicago this past weekend for cousin lisas' wedding, she looked fantastic. it is a dress only someone with her figure could pull off, hence why i should start working out but we all know that won't happen. we won't get into that right now as that's a sore subject. i will have pictures posted from the wedding as soon as i can find time to upload them. i documented almost the whole trip for nanny. she couldn't come so i wanted her to feel like she was there. aren't i such a good grandchild? (hold the applause) i drove my mom nuts with all the pictures but hey whatever it's for nanny.

ok i have to get back to work but i will post more later
